It is almost 6am and it is midnight dark outside, not even a hint of morning light. Summer really is over. (heavy sigh).
About to head out the door for my 3rd 18 miler of my training for the Victoria, BC marathon. Try to run about 9min pace. The running is going well, added faster weekly speed sessions that should (knock on wood) help me keep an 8min pace.
I ran the Lake Union 10k about a month ago and hoped for 7:30 pace and actually ran 7:07 pace so that is a good sign.
The race is October 9 and I’ll take the Victoria Clipper from downtown Seattle straight into Victoria Harbour. Going to be so nice to walk to the bus, take the ferry then walk to my hotel. No driving!
Scott, good luck with your race. You are the marathon man.
We need to have lunch and catch up after you’ve recovered!

Thanks Mark. Currently on the Clipper heading north through rain and clouds. I’ll be in touch next week.
