Why running in the early AM is best

Managed to rise early today and out running by 5:30am for a seven miler. For late January in the Emerald City the weather was ideal- 48 degrees with light wind and no rain. SO glad not in New England this week- it was about 5 degrees in Boston this morning.

Why I prefer to run early in the AM:
1. few people out, so can run in the neighborhood street (less likely to turn an ankle)
2. still dark but soon each morning will get a bit more light
3. get to eat a HUGE breakfast afterwords
4. the rest of the day, don’t have to worry about how/when get your run in. It’s done.
