Yesterday, Will turned two. Generous family and friends purchased numerous useful and practical items (clothes, books, etc). I cooked up a tasty Paella that would make a Valencian momma proud. We invited a few neighbors over to make hats and help eat Todd’s World Famous triple chocolate layer cake. It was also Suzanne’s Birthday so she blew out the pink candle and Will took the blue one. A grand time was had by all.

Mom and Dad stuck to the basics and bought Will some balloons and stickers. Have I mentioned he is a sticker FREAK.

BTW-He ate his breakfast this morning, also with balloon in hand.

The running has been slow and easy these last two weeks. Ran  5 last Saturday morning and during the first half, my stiff knees and joints made me feel 83. A nice and easy 3 in the cool rain Tuesday night felt much looser.

This morning, for about the 4th time, just couldn’t raise the body up to satisfy the 5:30am alarm, to go running. Not sure if it is the dark, cold, lingering weariness from the last race or just plain laziness but haven’t been able to run early since the Marathon. How did I manage to do this 1 to 2x per week for almost a year…? Gotta snap out of this funk.
